A sleepwalker moves through the world guided by only a fragment of consciousness, neither fully awake nor entirely at rest. Not fully understood, this mysterious state has historically been feared and misinterpreted as evidence of possession, witchcraft, or demonic influence. Drawing on Bellini’s La Sonnambula, this piece explores the boundaries between the rational and the unknown.
