Sarah Beeson

Based in West Berkshire, I am a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores nature, transformation and the passage of time. With a background in finance and a lifelong passion for creativity,  I have recently fully embraced my art practice, studying at the Warehouse Art School in East Oxford and currently pursuing a Master’s in Fine Art at Oxford Brookes University.

My work delves into the tension between the visible and the unseen, as well as the human impulse to control environments that we struggle to fully understand.  This drive often distances us from nature's deeper, slower, circular rhythms. Through sound, sculpture and installation, I investigate the interplay between mechanical systems and organic resonance - recent projects have included: placing sound into boxes to create mechanical pianola music that echoes our desire for order while foregrounding the inaudible, felt vibrations of the natural world; work exploring sleepwalking as a metaphor for our unease with fluid boundaries -  between control and surrender, conscious and unconscious, human and non-human. By engaging with these liminal spaces, I seek to evoke a sense of wonder and provoke reflection on our shifting relationship with the environment.
